After the presentation and market launch of the innovative MMX mixing system in the first of our Gerhardt OCX coffee machines around 5 years ago, this hardware is now being replaced by a following system!

Although we once received a lot of praise and innovation awards as well as extensive patents for the innovative idea of the closed mixing and blending process, we have decided to take this step.

The product results achieved with our MMX mixing system were always very good. However, the small size of the system and the associated increased service effort for cleaning the assembly, as well as the sensitivity to high humidity, sometimes resulted in an increased inspection frequency.

In close consultation with our customers, we will in future once again rely on an open "classic" mixing system that combines maximum functionality, effortless cleaning and service times with flawless product quality.

The new system "MX2" will go into series production in April.

INTERGASTRA in Stuttgart was a great success for our team again this year.
We had the opportunity to present our reliable hot beverage vending machines at the leading trade fair for the hotel and catering industry and to hold interesting discussions.
At our stand, we had the opportunity to show our comprehensive portfolio of vending machines and also to present the external FMX milk module for the first time.

VendItalia in Milan is the most important trade fair in Europe. We present our entire product portfolio, with a great variety. What exciting days at Host Milano! We had the opportunity to present our premium table tops from the OCX, the C-series to the S-series standing machines to an international audience.

One of the highlights of our presentation was undoubtedly the brand new Gerhardt FMX module. Visitors in Milan enjoyed our aromatic coffee specialties such as cappuccino and latte macchiato with perfectly creamy milk foam made from fresh milk or plant-based alternatives. Innovative technology inside ensures the finest milk foam in consistently high quality with outstanding taste - and, incidentally, low-maintenance operation with the highest hygienic standards.

Host 2023 was undoubtedly a great success and we would like to thank all visitors. See you in Milan in 2025 - we are already looking forward to seeing you all again!

HOST MILANO is taking place again this year at pre-pandemic level. We will also be there and are currently setting up our new stand. Around 2,250 exhibitors from 55 countries are coming to the Milan exhibition centre to show their technologies, products, systems around vending.

AFTER FOURTEEN YEARS IN THE TECHNICAL FIELD SERVICE, HENRI SCHIBORR IS LEAVING JAKOB GERHARDT AT THE END OF AUGUST. THUS, ONE OF THE "LAST GENTLEMAN OF THE INDUSTRY" IS TAKING A WELL-DESERVED RETIREMENT.

In 2008, Henri Schiborr moved from the renowned manufacturer Sielaff to the smaller, but innovative and family-run traditional company Jakob Gerhardt. It was a move he never regretted and one that also benefited Gerhardt. For example, he was instrumental in introducing the predecessor series of today's vending machines and led Gerhardt's innovative hot beverage vending machines to success during the difficult times of the banking crisis at the time. Because Henri Schiborr knows everyone in the industry and everyone knows Henri. From the very beginning, he enriched the Gerhardt family as a customer service representative with his high level of commitment, his knowledge of the vending market and his extensive expertise.

Henri Schiborr was in charge of Gerhardt's central and northern German market. With many years of experience, tact and technical know-how, he ensured satisfied customers and operators as well as the smooth operation of our vending machines at our customers. With his keen sense of market developments, he also provided valuable impetus for the new and further development of our innovative product range.

We thank Henri Schiborr for his outstanding commitment, his thoughtful suggestions and his excellent performance. And last but not least for always being a reliable part of the Gerhardt family. We wish him a good start to his well-deserved retirement.

Of course, we are not leaving our customers out in the cold now. Our employee Uwe Danner, who has also been with us for many years, will take over Henri's customers and sales territory. With a high level of technical knowledge and expertise, we know that our customers will continue to be well looked after in the future.

From 27 to 29 September, we will be presenting our range of vending machines to buyers and decision-makers in the vending and coffee industry at VENDTRA in Munich.

It was finally announced that VENDITALIA will be continued this year, not at the end of May as originally planned, but two weeks earlier.

We presented our range of hot drink vending machines during two fair days on September 29^th and 30^th, 2021: from our compact pro machine OCX, new and flexible table top of C-series up to our high-end self-standing S-series machines.

About 60 exhibitors from 15 countries showed their novelties at the “little” Olympic hall on the Olympic park in Munich besides us.

Next year the Vendtra in Munich will take place on September 27^th to September 29^th. We are already now looking forward to your visit there. Or, even better: come to visit us in May next year at the Venditalia in Milano. Benvenuto!

Our Showmobil hit the road. There are still restrictions in everyday life and contacts to the customers are held over a distance. But we would not be Gerhardt if we would not be able to solve this problem: we will bring our premium machines directly to you – in our Showmobil 2021!

Eu’Vend has been suspended this year but does already have a new date: October 27th to 29th, 2022. According to the current situation regarding Corona virus, Koelnmesse decided to cancel this year’s euvend & coffeena which was scheduled in Cologne in October 2020.

The MMX technology we developed ensures sustained reduced maintenance input in our machines and clearly improved mixing and foam quality at the same time. We were already awarded with the Vending Star for this. Now we were officially given the European Patent for our innovative mixing system MMX: Gerhardt MMX (EP patent no. 3354173).

The system for mixing powder and water which is closed in itself sustained prevends pollution of the inner space by reversing the conventional mixing principle. The result of this is an outstanding mixing outcome at reduced water use. Gerhardt MMX is, amongst other things, installed in our OCX series machines as well as in the new intelligent S series.

With giant steps, the year comes to its end. We have achieved another step in Gerhardt’s success story with this successful patenting of our revolutionary MMX technology. We wish all our customers Happy Holidays and a good start into the new year.

We introduced our premium self-standing machines of the new S-series at the euvend & coffeena in Cologne from May 9th to 11th, 2019, having big success: these innovative high-end machines convinced by excellent design and intelligent interior equipment, as well as a variety of hot drinks. Expert visitors from all over the world were able to test the numerous features of the new S-series in a pleasant lounge atmosphere at our newly designed exhibition stand, get informed about modern Office Coffee solutions while having a coffee specialty in Barista quality or toast to 50 year Jakob Gerhardt anniversary with a special Gerhardt cocktail.

Congratulations to our production head Christian Rybol for 25-year-company-anniversary! He started to work at Jakob Gerhardt in 1994. Being a man from the first beginnings, he was decisively involved in manufacturing of GF 309, which was the first Gerhardt hot drinks vending machine and was introduced during the same year.

We thank Christian Rybol for his outstanding engagement, long-term loyalty and innovative suggestions – and are hoping for a lot of more common years at Jakob Gerhardt.

Our company founder Mr. Jakob Gerhardt could celebrate his 80. birthday on 14.09.2018!
On this occasion, he made a flashback to a moving life wherein he focussed especially on two things: his company and his family. Jakob Gerhardt had great success in joining both of them – to this day Jakob Gerhardt Automatische Verkaufsanlagen GmbH is still a real family business in second generation.

The staff congratulated their “senior boss” to his special day and gathered for a group portrait which they gave to him as reminder of eventful common years.

Since May 1st Wolfgang Rösner has been supporting the technical field service of Gerhardt with a special focus on expanding the new sales for the OCX-series. We are glad to have his assistance, which is truly needed in the course of the rollout of the OCX and the already huge demand. Together with the established sales team around Uwe Danner, Henri Schiborr, and Bernd Gerhardt, Wolfgang Rösner is the contact person of operators especially in the southern German market. Last he had worked for the producer Sielaff.

The production of the OCX series has finally started! After the initial delay, we are happy that we've been able to offer the smallest and finest of our Gerhardt machines for sale since the beginning of the year. And the first feedback of our regional, national and international customers has been consistently and extraordinarily positive. They are especially impressed by the innovative MMX technology. It has been acknowledged that the technology truly yields great product results, the milk foam is a dream, and as a completely closed system the cleaning expenses have been reduced to a minimum.

But we don’t want to rest on our laurels: From now on you get fitting accessories in high-class OCX design along with the OCX – cappuccino and espresso cups, a stylish latte macchiato glass and even sugar sticks and little chocolate bars in the same design! And the special equipment cup-warmer in fitting design and payment module will be deliverable starting July 2018. All in all an amazingly successful start of our smallest new one!

From Wednesday, June 6th, to Saturday, June 9th, 2018, we will present our range of models at the Venditalia in Milan. Can our OCX-series also pass as an office barista in the motherland of the espresso? We are convinced of that!

The Venditalia, which takes place every two years in turn with the Eu'Vend in Cologne, is the European leading fair of the vending industry. By now it is vital for us to show our presence at this event. And it pays off! Not just for us but also for the audience. We look forward to your visit!

Our new OCX series will of course be the focus at the HoReCa fair HOST, which will take place in Milano from October 20th to 24th. We will present updated and completely functioning prototypes of our new series in Milano.

Unfortunately the delivery date of our OCX will be delayed to January 2018. The most important reasons for this delay are the complex implementation of the innovative MMX technology as well as the revision of the powder canisters: in order to increase their volumes and enable an easier filling, they will jut out upward in the finished series.

But it is for sure that we will really “rev up” with the production of OCX at the beginning of the new year in January!

Host is the leading fair of the HoReCa-World und dedicates a huge part to the topic of coffee and vending machines. The international “Place To Be” to get to know the most important novelties of the industry. From the 20^th to the 24^th of October 2017, Milan is once again going to be “the capital of the professional hospitality industry” with over 2,000 exhibitors.

We are going to present our entire range of models including the new and the newest developments at this fair. For example, the Gerhardt OCX series – Mono and Duo – as well as the revolutionary MMX-technique and the innovative CTG-2018 vending machine.

The Vending Star 2017 goes to Gerhardt Vending Manufactory’s latest innovation.

It became quite emotional for us again during the “Vending Star” award at the Eu’Vend: Arnaud van Amerongen, who, being the managing director of Swiss Aequator AG, is a real expert and cognoscente of the business, congratulated his “dear colleagues of the kind, professional family company Gerhardt” on the award in a cordially encomium. He emphasized how important it is to question especially a finished technology which all manufacturers have accepted as a condition and recognize in the process that time and again there are ways to newly think of and develop something which really brings progress to the vending machine business. With recent MMX mixing system innovation, the company had succeeded in this in an exemplary way.

We thank van Amerongen for his appositing words and the members of the jury for their award.
After we received the first Vending Star ever in 2007 for the first fully automatic lid dispenser withdisposing mechanism, it is now the second time that we are awarded with this prize. It will be that time again in ten years – at the latest!

Some more few days only, then the time has come – Eu’Vend opens its gates at April 27th. About 200 exhibitors will be present and the organizer expects far more than 5.000 skilled visitors! And probably each of them will drop by at our booth B80/C89 in hall 9.1 and examine our matured bestsellers as well as the Gerhardt novelties. Above all, our all new developed OCX series. We are convinced of the success of our smallest new family member for one hundred percent, of course. But a little nervousness will remain anyhow – how well will it go down with the skilled audience?
